Our Story

How it all started...

Hope International Church is not a White church,  it's not a Black church, or a Hispanic church; IT'S A JESUS CHURCH! Our goal each week is to equip saints and raise disciples so that we can go forth to fulfill our mission statement of Saving Souls, Encouraging Hearts, & Changing Our Surrounding Community.

Discipleship is a matter of being willing to become all that God wants us to be. Disciples are those with a heart for God and a teachable attitude. They are ready to receive whatever Jesus has to offer; His forgiveness, His love, His direction, prosperity, & overall freedom, that comes with being connected to Jesus Christ.

Dr.  Tony McCoy and his wife Jodie McCoy are the Senior Pastors and founders of Hope International Church.  Since the church’s humble beginning in 2004, we have witnessed the power of God transform people's lives for 20+ years. The Church has grown from a small service of five members  being held in a home, to now having its own Worship Campus on State Road 33 in beautiful Groveland, Florida,  the City with Natural Charm. Pastor Tony  and Jodie, along with the members of Hope International Church,  are proud to be used by God to make a positive impact in the communities throughout Lake County!

Expanding the  Mission & Vision...

The mission of Hope International Church is the same mission Jesus gave His followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. We've simplified it in speech as:
Saving Souls, Encouraging Hearts and
Changing the Surrounding Community.
The vision of Hope International Church is to create a community of authentic believers, and to witness a City transformed by the life changing reality of the Gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Where we are headed...

Our campus is expanding! Our campus is affectionately named "The Hope Movement Center."

Currently,  our campus is composed of our Church,  our School - Hope Preparatory Academy grades, K-12th, and our Community Gymnasium named  the Nathaniel Community Gymnasium, "NCG."

The next phase of our campus will include a Community Wellness Center named "The Hope Wellness Center." The Hope Wellness Center will be a 20K sqft facility, equipped with a full indoor workout facility, to include a men and women's sauna room, multi-purpose aerobics room,  free-weights and cardio zone,  physical therapy corridor,  healthy snack "fuel-station" zone, barber shop, and rental space opportunities for local businesses. The Hope Wellness Center will also have spaces dedicated to our Special Needs Community providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)  and parental resources as well as  mental health counseling for all ages. Construction ahs begun! View some of the journey photos below.
